[Yaesu] Speaker for Yaesu FT-227R (Memorizer)

Has anyone had any luck finding a (relatively) plug and play replacement
speaker for an FT-227R  Memorizer?  Mine is shot and the last time I started
looking for a replacement, I never found anything I was satisfied would fit
without resorting to some surgery.  I figured I'd put the question to the
group before I started digging in my catalogs.
