[Yaesu] Yaesu FT100D 300hz CW Filter & Green Wire

I recently installed a 300hz CW filter in my FT100D.

BTW, the directions in the instruction manual are a
bit vague. When
looking down on the chassis (cover removed that
contains the speaker)
there is no mention of the bright green and extremely
thin wire that goes
from from the front circuit board to the rear circuit
board. This wire
prevents the circuit board from tilting forward as
specified in the
directions.

While jiggling the board to get to the solder points
for the CW filter,
the green wire (see above) broke loose.

What is its function? It is extremely difficult to
reconnect because
one end is on a vertical circuit board and the other
end (broken)
connects thru plastic tubing which seems to be
permanently attached to either
a resistor or a cap.

The rig seems to be working fine. (I sort of
reconnected the green
wire by stripping the insulation and jamming the bare
wire into the
plastic tubing in a "hope over reason" move of
reconnecting).

Any thoughts would be appreciated. 73 Greg W2BEE
