I'm sure this has been asked before. Given that the Yaesu serial numbers start with a digit indicating the year, continue with a letter indicating the month, 2 digits for the lot, and 3 digits for the number within the lot. How can you differentiate between an FT-1000 manufactured in 1990 and one manufactured in 2000? Don B.
