I have the brochure for the FT-1000(D). It specs the power requirement as
"100, 110, 117, 200, 220, 234 VAC, 50/60 Hz, 95VA receive, 1050 VA for 200
watts transmit."
The only difference I am aware of is the need for the correct mains plug for
your AC connection. The internal wiring needs to be adjusted for your
voltage by selecting the appropriate transformer tap.
It is possible that a transformer that meets US code might not pass the
somewhat stricter European electrical code.
