[Yaesu] no audio from FT-100B

Hi,
I recently aquired an FT-100B. It will transmitt but there is no audio.  =
I can see the s meter moving in sync with a cw signal but nothing makes =
it to the speaker.  Also,  it looks like someone added a small =
transformer to the speaker jack.  Any ideas?
