That's a hard question to answer; I don't know if you're looking for something "old", something "proven and reliable" or something "cutting edge." As for me, I've had a Yaesu FT-50R for quite a few years and I'm very happy with it. Like a Timex watch, it's rugged, reliable, and it just keeps on ticking!
