[Yaesu] Question about FT100 and 300 hz filter

Now that the 300 hz CW filter for the FT100/D is
discontinued, I am wondering if I should pick one up
while they are still available.  I do quite a bit of
CW work, and find the 500 hz filter very useful.  Has
anyone on the list tried out the 300hz filter?  Is it
a big improvement?  Worth the extra money and effort
to install it?
