[Yaesu] NB on FT857

I am sorry if this topic has been covered before,
because I just joined the FT-857 group.  I currently
have a FT100D which I really like, but also like some
of the features on the FT857, like headphones jack and
the ability to add a SSB filter.  One of the main
reasons that I bought a FT100D was because of the
noise blanker.  I have alot of power line noise at my
QTH, but have not yet been able to get it fixed.  The
NB on the FT100D takes about alot of this noise when I
am on my miniquad.  It goes from S6 with the NB off to
nothing with the NB on.  

So, how does the NB on the 857 compare to the NB on
the FT100?  Has anyone directly compared the two? 
Does the NB on the 857 remove power line noise for
those who suffer from it?  DOn't want to get a 857 if
I have to listen to S6 noise all of the time.

WOuld also be interested in any other comparisons
between the two also.
