Hello everyone on the email reflector.

My name is Neil and I am a 13 year old ham in Michigan. I am going to go to take the General class test tomorrow with the morse code. I was wondering if any of you VEs or VECs could tell me if it's legal to write down the dits and dahs (such as -. for N) instead of the letter because code has been keeping me back from upgrading, and I came up with this idea in my English class. Basically this is what I mean

-.. . -. . .. .-..
D E N E I L

I appreciate all your guys help. 73!
