[Yaesu] Help with hypermemories on FT8900

I am trying to get my FT8900 set up for some different
configurations, and this hypermemory deal is driving
me crazy.  I got a hypermemory setting OK in HM1, but
when I try to set up and store a second configuration,
I can't.  Everytime I press and hold Hyper Memory key
2, it doesn't store it, it just recalls what is in
that location.  I have tried this with the menu
setting for hyper at both auto and manual, and get the
same result.

What am I doing wrong?  In Hyper memory 1 I have 6
meter FM in the left side, and 2 meter FM in the right
side.  I want to set up another hyper memory with 10
meter FM in the left side and 2 meter FM in the right
side, but can't.  Any ideas how to fix this?
