[Yaesu] FT 767 Dial Problem

I've recently developed a problem with the digital dial on my 767. It seems
that after the unit warms up, the dial will not work correctly as I try to
tune to a frequency. As I turn the dial, it seems that the frequency reading
gets stuck for about a third of a turn and then picks back up again as I
continue to turn the dial. Anyone ever experienced this before? Is it an
easy fix or will I have to send it off for repair? What would you recommend
for good repair site?
