[Yaesu] Repost with the proper MOD NUMBER

Hi Gang.
I picked up a FT 100-D several months ago and i'm very pleased with it.
I was ready to buy a FT-817 because of it's small size and easy on the 
battery.
However I see that the FT 857 is supposed to be the smallest 100 watt rig 
made.
The ad said nothing about options and I was just thinking if the crystals for 
CW and SSB could be swapped with the FT-100-D.
I have the 300hz XTAL in my rig now but I think the 2.4 SSB XTAL would do 
better then the 2.5 I have in my FT 100-D.
It for some reason seems wider then a 2.5.
If anyone here has any info on the rigs I sure would appreciate any 
information you can send my way.
