[Yaesu] FIF-232

Hi All

A while back, there were several messages about building a ttl-232 
converter that was BETTER than what Yeasu makes. I have looked back at all 
of my email and can't find it. Does anyone have any info on this???

OR does anyone have either a fif-232 converter or a home made one cheap 
collecting dust that you want to get rid of?? I need one for my ft990 and 
it needs to read in both directions....
