It is a simple 2-key sequence: Function key, then one other key.  Not =
simultaneously, and no need to hold a key down.  Only one finger =
required.  You can choose to lock out just the keypad, just the tuning =
knob, the PTT switch, or any combination of the three.

There is a completely separate lock feature that makes it work only on =
programmed memory channels, disabling direct frequency selection from =
the keypad.  Enabling or disabling this lock requires turning on power =
while pressing multiple buttons on the side of the radio, then turning =
the knob, then pressing the Function key.
