[Yaesu] FT-1000 fan noise

Hello Everyone,

I'm sure this is a very old topic but it is a present-day problem for me.

My FT-1000's fan has a very annoying groaning sound.  I sent the rig to
Yaesu to have this repaired a few years back and they said, "The fan it
fine - it just needed 'alignment.' "  Well, when I got it back it groaned as
much as ever.  Maybe it became 'mis-aligned' in shipping.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?  Perhaps just order a new fan?
Is it difficult to replace the fan without screwing up the rig?
