[Yaesu] FT-1500 Priority Channel

Sirs:

To all who own the FT-1500 2M mobile rig.

Has anyone found a way to de-select the priority feature on this radio?  Pages 31 and 32 of the manual tell you how to set up and activate the priority channel feature and tells you how to use Priority Revert.  While the manual is clear on how to disable Revert, it does not tell you how to de-select the Priority channel.  I have been able to *change* the priority channel and I did the Set Mode Reset to restore defaults without erasing the memory channels.  The latter move did not deselect priority.  I accidentally set up the Priority channel while reprogramming the rig--by hand.
