If you read the QST review on switching power
supplies, they make a very good point.  If a PS will
produce noise-it will do so when under its greatest
load, like when you are transmitting.  Generally when
you are transmitting, you are also not receiving, so
even if it will produce a little hash, you probably
won't hear it.
