[Yaesu] FT-897 Filter Selection

We recently installed an INRAD 2.3 KHz SSB filter in a new Yaesu FT-897.

In spite of multiple attempts to read and understand the instructions =
given in the manual (pure gibberish !) and several conversations with =
Yaesu representatives and other "experts",  we have still not found out =
exactly how to access the display which will tell us if the filter is =
being recognized and is active (IN or OUT).

There must be some way to (1) Select the filter and to (2) Switch it in =
and out of the Rx.

We have mastered the IC-706 and the FT-100D, hence we are not without =
some experience in the world of "Menus", but this sucker has us stumped.

Any help would be appreciated.  (Please give "details")
