Since there is not <Home> key there must be something else I must push 
before powering up.  I'll poke around and see which one it is.  Closing in

The FT-7100 is similar although you put the cable into the mike connector
before turning on the radio.  Press the <HOME> key while powering the
radio on.  After power up, remove the cable from the mike connector.
I would think(!), judging by your description that the Ft-90 wouldn't
be too different.
