For Modification info, http://www.mods.dk will give you some information-but
none of the mods are guaranteed.

The other option is to find a technician to modify the radio for you.

Some rigs may not be able to hold to the 2.8 Khz bandwidth for the USB
signal, some may have too much drift, some older analog rigs may not be able
to be set right on frequency.

Anyone heard of a way to modify any Yaesu gear to get on the new frequencies
without going out of band or causing spurious emissions?  Understand what
this would do to my warranty.
