I have had an unusual problem develop in my FT100D in
the past couple of weeks. This is a once in a while
problem, so I wonder if anyone else has observed the
same thing. I have the power on 2 meters turned back
to 15 watts or so to drive my amp with. Sometimes the
readout will go all the way up to 50 watts. Sometimes
it will stay there until you unkey, and other times it
will fall right back down to 15 watts or so. This is
using the power output meter on the FT100. I haven't
hooked it up to a wattmeter yet. Also, when it does
this, the transmitter seems to kick out, although that
could be the amp going out, although it will also do
this with the amp off. I first noticed this when
using the local repeater, but also noticed it on SSB
last night.

Has anyone else noticed such a problem? What is the
fix for it?
