[Yaesu] FT-900 doesn't work (again)

I have an FT-900 that's been sitting in its box since it was worked
over by Yaesu 2 years ago. I tested it then, and re-packed it for
future use.
When I finally went to use it this past weekend, it did not work. The
symptoms are:
1. EXTREMELY attenuated RX (that is, almost no AF -- and all that
comes through is the occasional 40M broadcast station). Unless you
put you ear to the speaker, you can't hear a thing.
2. Infinitely high SWR on all bands, into a 7 band W9INN (tuned) antenna.
My guess is that it's the T-R relay, stuck in a position between TX
and RX, but I really don't know. Does the 900 have a switch between
mechanical/electronic T/R?? I'm not using an amp, so maybe I can
switch it to check it in the "other" position, whatever that is.
Yes, I did the processor reset a couple of times.
Any suggestions before I have to ship the damn thing back to CA??
Thanks in advance
