So why do most hams use UPS? Is it habit? Is it that
they don't know about Fedex? Are my experiences
unique and everyone else gets great service from UPS?
I have a couple of other stories about UPS that I
won't get into at this time.

Gee John tell us how you feel :-) don't hold back. Over the years I've used
UPS, Fed-Ex & AirBorne. I've found all three to be very similar. I've
never had a problem on my end receiving any package from any of them. I did
send a radio I sold to a ham in Washington state via UPS that I thought took
a day too long but he wasn't complaining.
I office out of the house (LaPorte TX) and my "office" is actually in
Schaumburg Ill. The company has a contract with AirBorne and when we're
shuffling "stuff" back and forth they send me a pre-paid return label.
When I'm ready to send it back I just call a toll free number ... hit a few
tones on the phone ... go set it on the porch and they (AirBorne) come and
get it.
