[Yaesu] FT 817 main IF filter question

Hi All - New to the list here. I finally could no longer resist buying
an 817 and got one of the end of the year deals last week. Free CW
filter comes with it, but I am curious about the main SSB filter. Some
complain that the stock SSB filter is not adequate. I will install the
Collins CW filter that came as a bonus and am not interested in the W4RT
dual filter board since I don't like the Collins mechanical filters for
SSB (and I want a cheaper alternative, of course, hi hi).

Now my question, what 455 KHz filter does Yaesu use for the 817 main
filter? I understand it is a Murata ceramic filter, is it one of the
cheap ones like the K14 or K15? If so, that is good news, since Murata
makes better filters with the same Z in/out and much better shape
factors (like the K13 used in the FT 1000 series or the K12 used in the
TS 940 / 850 series). I have a few of these lying around and could just
replace the stock filter to get a little better performance.

Just curious. I look forward to the multi mode VHF and UHF capabilities
of the rig as well as the portable HF possibilities. Looks like fun.
