If memory serves, you have to provide the memory battery externally
thru the accessory jack....I DONT think there is room internally..
It and the FT-x27R(A-B) series have the same problem; lose power, lose
the memory and vfo settings....
I know that radio (they made a box to allow you to run a VHF module
so it could be DUAL band (but one band at a time)....nice small size
and the rcvr is a good one (as good as the FT 227/127 2&220 models were
at that time)...The RU is the UHF and RV is the VHF modules...
Operation of the head is similar to the FTx27R series as to memorizing
the channels, etc.
I'll see if I can dig up a manual on the 720...
