[Yaesu] FT857

Has anyone figured out the point of the FT857 yet?  It
looks like a duplicate of the FT100D in a slightly
smaller package, with a multicolored screen (whoopee).
 I guess it does have more keyer memories also, but I
can't really see where it fits in the Yaesu line.  Is
it intended to replace the FT100D, or will they keep
making the 100 also?

Yaesu does deserve commendation for having 5 different
models that cover HF, 6, 2, and 432 all mode-the
FT100D, FT847, FT817, FT897, and FT857.  Icom and
Kenwood have 1 each.  Now lets get some more activity
out there on 432.
