[Yaesu] FT100 Problem

Hello All            

 

            I have been setting up & using the ft100 (not "D") on 2

            metres fm, 6m ssb,&10m fm.

           The unit was performing quite ok until 432mhz 

           band was tested, it drew excessive current on tx

           into 50 ohm load, shutting down the protected

           power supply even with ft100 rf out set to zero.

           

Anyone got any suggestions as to want might be going astray here??

Can anyone point me to a copy of the FT100 service manual on the net??? 

 

 

           A circuit diagram of the uhf PA stage would assist

           with repairs.

           I will attempt some extra grounding mods found on

           ft100 internet site and see if this helps.
