Hi All,
I purchased my FT767GX in mid-1987 from HRO when they were first introduced.
In addition to the usual 160 through 10 capapability, you could install
modules for 6 meters, 2 meters, and 440. I put in only the 6 and 2. If you
wanted a PL that was an optional item.
I have graduated to a FT1000 but still have the 767 as a backup. It is very
easy to open up TX to cover MARS. Just a simple switch HAM>GEN.
The radio has a couple of front panel switches that help with noise - NB,
ATT, etc. I just play around til I find the right combination to take care
of the current problem. The radio has exceptional "ears" plus a pre-amp.
Don't remember for sure but I think the price without the modules was
~$1800.00
73,
Harry
