The FT897 and 817 only require a minor mod to open up the xmtr range 
IIRC....if you search on Google.com for the "FT-817 mod" and "FT-897 
mod", you will probably find them.
A FT102 is slightly different but since the MARS allocations are next 
door to amateur bands, that should not be a tough one to do....will need 
a xtal change, etc.
