[Yaesu] FT-2600M modification

I've got an FT-2600M that periodically resets itself when used in a mobile
environment and so looses all of the memory channels I've plugged in by
hand.

Today I noticed on the mods.dk site that a Canadian ham had posted what
might be a fix for the low voltage memory reset. I quote him below...

"Yeasu FT2600 has trouble with losing the power to the radio.

On the back side of the main pcb is Q1028 next to it is resistor
R- 1340 which is a 4.7K resistor 1/16 watts. Replace it with a 3.9k
surface mount resistor and no more trouble."

R-1340 is part of a voltage divider where the center of the divider goes to
Q1030 that (I think) generates a CPU reset pulse.

Simple question though... Has anyone else made this mod and is the memory
reset problem fixed?
