[Yaesu] Any FT-33 Owners?

I own two FT33s....they are rugged HTs but the DTMF pad (the TT-4)
which IS an option and sits IN FRONT of the battery adds size to it..
and the pad does NOT control the radio freq....it only sends DTMF..
$100 for HT with battery and chgr is a good price..does the radio have
the PL encoder? IIRC that is an option as well (so is the PL decoder
I THINK on top of the PL encoder option!)
I am thinking of selling my FT33s and getting a TH-F6 from Kenwood..
with the triband operation AND the ALL mode HF->UHF rcvr built in,
PLUS the fact one of my 220 rptrs has a HF+6m rmt base on it (thanks
to the ACC SM100 Shackmaster and my TS680), I would love to verify
the rmt is working with the HT....and the Kenwood is a nice rig..
