I am sure no expert on DSP or the DSP-59Y or hooking ham gear up to
computers
HOWEVER.,
for what purpose is the RS-232 on it, if not to connect to a computer?
And if connected to a computer, isn't some software required to
decode and encode the baudot or ASCII?
I understand that the RS-232 is intended for RTTY, but I have also
seen wriiten somewhere that one can also accumulate operating data,
presuming that the cable from the 8 pin DIN is connected to a transceiver
that accomodates providing the source for such data.
Can someone out there straighten me out on this stuff?"
