[Yaesu] FT1000 Pin diode replacement?

I don't know the cost if that's all you have them do, but they did mine for
nothing when I sent it in for some audio board problems a couple of years
ago (turned out to be a couple of bad filters). They did some other minor
updates, too, don't remember what they were now. Anyway, the updates were on
the invoice but listed as "no charge". I have had no hassle, good work and
reasonable prices from Yaesu's repair people the two times I've sent them
rigs over the years. That's why I stick with them, other than I also happen
to like their radios, particularly my 1000D. I think other manufacturers
miss the boat on the service thing - if I'm looking at a new radio, and have
a choice of brands within about the same type rig and price range, Yaesu
will get my money every time because of my personal experiences with their
excellent service department.
