Hello Kurt,

There are a few reasons for this decision.

In the Mark V I use the following Inrad filters for CW: 2100, 1000 and 400.
I find these bandwidths very pleasing for CW, especially during contests.

The EDSP, especially the APF 240, 120 and 60 Hz bandwidths, is in my opinion
a very nice enlargement/supplement to the IF-filters in real tough
conditions. The NR and Contour are interesting to use in certain situations.

I like the sound and the dynamic of the RF-monitor very much! This sounds
like music to me. The regular AF-monitors are much too characterless and too
straight!

These are the main reasons for me to use CW on the Mark V, more then on the
1000D.

The 1000D is a superlative rig for SSB. Its quietness and S/N-ratio are
outstanding!

Both are very enjoyable rigs for the purposes I have in mind.

73, Hans Remeeus.
