            I read that the new FT- 897 rig basically has the same receiver
as the 817. How does the FT-100D compare to the 897 in receive? I had an
original FT-100 several years ago and it was a big mistake, so I switched to
an IC-706 MK-2G.  What improvements has the D model made?
