11.000 MHz miniature crystals are available from
Mouser at a cost of 53 cents for a series load crystal
and 47 cents for a parallel (20 pf) load! These are
high quality crystals that are made for
microprocessors. I don't know if you require series
load or 20 pf load. However, you can order one each
for $1! Then try both of them and use the one that
works the best.
They do have wire leads. However, if you require plug
in, you can bend the leads into a loop and plug them
into the socket.
I use these crystals all of the time in VHF and UHF
converters. The 11 MHz I use in 6 meter converters
and double in the oscillator circuits to get 22 MHz
which then converts 50 MHz to 28 MHz.
The part number of the series load crystal is
73-XT49U1100-S
For the parallel load crystal the part number is
559-FOXS111-20
Mouser is on the Internet at mouser.com
You can order on-line using a credit card. There is
no minimum order for stateside (there is a minimum for
Canada).
The quality of the crystals is excellent. They are so
cheap because they are manufactured in the thousands.
You will want to have Mouser add you to their
catalogue mailing list. Their parts are excellent and
their prices are usually the best around.
