[Yaesu] FT-767GX Help

Good morning.
I have a chance to purchase the above rig from an estate. I was told the owner just listened to the rig as his license had expired. Also was told he had bought it new. I wanted to check it out before I bought it. 
First problem is it does not have a manual with it so I'm guessing as to what I may be doing right or wrong.

I can't seem to get any power above 40 to 50 watts into a load. Same into a long wire with a tuner. Front panel drive is turned up all of the way. On 20m it is even less. If I remember right from last night when I tried it I would get more output with the inboard tuner in line compared to just going straight thru into my MN2700 tuner.

I have been using a TR7 as the main SS rig so this one is quite a step beyond what I am accustomed to.

Any help would be greatly appreciated here.

Also it would be nice to know where I could go for repair as an option or bartering tool.
