[Yaesu] MD-100a8x with FT990

Hi; I'm posting this for a friend who has purchased a MD-100a8x Mic to
go with his FT-990. The mic works fine straight through but of course
won't work when switched to the filtered mode. A check of the mod sites
indicates only one mod which requires cutting traces on the PC board and
putting a 78l05 in to get the 5 volts as well as putting 13 volts on two
pins of the round mic connector. A mod we would prefer not to do from a
resale value stand point. Does any one have a schematic or another mod
info on performing this task. I think it requires both 13.8 and 5 volts
but naturally the info sheet does not have the schematic. Your
