I too am in the market for a 144/440mhz duoband rig. Per QST, the FT-7100 ($400) had some serious early problems with intermod. For a city boy like me, this would make the rig a no-no. However, the rig has a ton of features, otherwise. And the Kenwood duoband vhf/uhf rigs are $600-700...thats a lot. Looking for advice from users of duoband uhf/vhf rigs.
