Take a look at this software for the -847 (and a version for the -1000).
It may have what you want. It does have more features then I would ever
need.
I ran across this when looking for a piece of software for better cross-band
repeater functionality. It wasn't what I needed, but I did save the URL.
After perusing the web site for a bit, I still can't find a price, though.
