[Yaesu] question on my yaesu ft-920

I never thought about it before but now that you mention it I do hear
what you describe. Must be relays or the tuner initializing even though
it is not being used. My 920 is enclosed in a shelf (except for the
back) and my shack walls are carpeted to absorb stray noises and maybe
not as noticeable as one out in the open. I have had my 920 almost 4
years so it must be normal.

I purchased a brand new ft-920 last week.It works perfect,can a 920
owner tell me this,when you power up the radio do you hear a slight
shudder inside the radio.I thought it was the tuner but i do not use the
internal tuner.I would greatly appreciate any response to this
query,thank's guy's...
