HI, have recently purchase a seconhand yaesu ft707 and would now like to
give it a good clean up, any tips on whats best to use as far as cleaning up
the front panel, controls, etc and also taking out small scratches in the
plastic panel on the freq display ?? the top cover off the radio could do
with a repaint also, is it best to get the cover shotblastted first, and
then repainted ?? or just repaint, is there a match as such, for the
original yaesu paint ?? lastly, using the original yaesu hand michrophone
with the set and would like to add a bit off punch to my outgoing audio,
any suggestions ?? does any off the "heil" inserts- hc4/5" suit this
particular radio ?? or maybe some form off speech processing unit ??
As always thanks to all who answer my questions its very much appreciatted.
ps. Anyone got an original ft707 brochure they could sell me ?? or even scan
me a copy !!
regards,
john hilton
