[Yaesu] FT100D S meter

Recently picked up a used, but mint, FT100D.  First
time I have had a chance to play with this neat little
rig.  However, it seems like the S meter is very
stingey.  I have yet to see a signal hit over S9, even
though some have been booming in.  I have the IPO
turned off, so that is not affecting it.  Have others
noticed this?  Not really a problem, just interesting
