Hugo,
the front keypad is for DTMF or Touchtone(r) ONLY! The 1-0,*,##,A-D
buttons do not control the radio.....in fact you will notice the =

TT4 is removable and was an option on the FTx3 series HTs...
Only control buttons near the display work...as well as the ones on
top.
