[Yaesu] FT-990

Jim:

You are like me, I have sold most of my Collins gear and have purchased
Yaesu gear.  I have a FT-990 and a
FT-1000D.  I purchased the FT-990 in 1994 and the used FT-1000D in 1998.
Thus far, no problems with either transceiver.  I do not use the antenna
turners in either rig.  I have single band antennas for 80, 40, 20 and 15
meters.

I missed seeing you at the Berryville hamfest last year.  Sandy and I plan
to make a trip North this summer and plan to attend the Berryville hamfest.

Do you own any Collins?  I have a Collins 51S-1 and 75A-4 with matching
speakers.  Sold all my other Collins this past year.

Hope to see you at Berryville this summer.

I retired for good this past June.  Really enjoying retirement.
