I can confirm that. The Quadra will go to bypass with an [SWR > 3:1] alarm
display if the load SWR exceeds 3:1. My Quadra is a "Rev. Level 2" unit,
manufactured in 3Q/1998.

Thev QUADRA does NOT like SWR over 3 to 1, and may refuse to even ATTEMPT to
tune a 4 to 1 SWR. My FT-1000MP WILL TUNE a greater mismatch than my
QUADRA---The QUADRA I have is an early model, and it is POSSIBLE that the
newer QUADRAs might be more "SWR tolerant", but I would not bet on it.--Bob,
