Marshall & all:
Warranty work always has priority. It (a) promotes repeat customers who (b)
bring new sales & write testimonial letters, for free advertising that
maximizes profit. It's debatable if factory or dealers always use FIFO
repairs. I've worked on LMR & marine radios. My supervisor preferenced (1)
municipalities, (2) the "peaches," (easy) T / M ones for maximum profit, &
(3) the "dogs" {obvious.}
Contract work wasn't liked or given priority, unless it qualified as
municipal / government. Commercial customers, like the preceding, paid a
flat contract rate for their fleet.
You may have certain legal rights if you can prove functionality was worse
when you got the 736 back. I'm not an attorney, so can't advise you, but "
I've been there / done that applies." It's funny how vendors change stories
when contacted by officials.
Caveat Emptor. I'm sure you'll get solid advice on the reflector. 73,
<W2WU>
