I have acquired four FT-411 and FT-411E handhelds (two of each) and have
been unsuccessful in cloning information from one to the others. According
to the diagram in the manual, I am using two 2.5 mm stereo plugs and have
connected the shield of the cable to the base and the center conductor to
the ring -- leaving the tip unconnected. Attempts to clone the frequencies,
etc. from on unit to another have resulted in the "receiving" unit
displaying "err" or being otherwise uncooperative.
Can cloning be done between an FT-411 and an FT-411E?
I wonder if someone on the list has had success doing this and can help me
correct the error of my ways.
Also, can anyone explain the difference between the FT-411, FT-411E, and the
FT-411 MKII radios?
My sincere thanks in advance.
