Hi Anthony,

I've had both and I too prefer the 920 as well.  It all boils down to what 
you really need them for and what your personal preferences are.  My number 
one thing is a nice quiet RX, and the 920 was just as sensative, but it was 
quieter without the "hiss", and the NB really worked.  Because of this I was 
able to hear REALLY weak stuff on the 920 that I couldn't hear with the 746. 
  Both rigs were receiving the signals, but the extra noise in the 746 made 
it hard to copy it.  Maybe the new 746PRO is better, but I still use a 920 
along side my new 756PROII for that same reason for weak signal 6m work.
