Hi Steve.

Check out International Radio's line of excellent crystal filter
products at http://www.qth.com/inrad/ I've purchased filters from
them in the past and have always been satisfied with the results.

I have an FT-890 as well that I bought used. The previous owner had
installed the better Yaesu crystal filter. I find it works very well so
it is worth the upgrade to the Yaesu or the INRAD model. I believe the
Yaesu filter is spec'ed at 2.4 kHz while INRAD has three bandwidths
available, 1.8, 2.1, and 2.8 kHz.

73, de Nate >>
